What truly makes Nessie the most unique and remarkable Dredge are the extraordinary implements that have been developed for her. Enabling such a wide variety of functions, Nessie can be adapted to suit nearly any dredging, mining or reclamation project.

The Standard
Bucketwheel Cutterhead

The 42 inch Bucketwheel Cutterhead has a torque rating of 50,000 pounds per inch, capable of cutting through the hard pocket material, including granite and coral. The Cutterhead is eqyipped with an "Automatic Oscillating Mode" for cutting a continuous six-foot radial trench, a feature that improved dredging capacity overall.

The Hyacinth Cutterhead

The Hyacinth cutterhead is far more efficient for this application then standard weed harvesters and is a non-polluting method for dealing with the problem.

The Hyacinth Cutterhead will clear floating vegitation that ultimately impedes boat traffic in slow moving rivers, lakes, ponds and other waterways. This implement removes material faster then conventional weed harvesters since the cut vegitation can be pumped directly to shore without the need to haul it as in the case with weed harvesters.
The Clam Rake

The Clam Rake is used to clean shore lines of ponds and lakes as well as to remove floating trimmings of cattail and tule stems or any other floating debris.

Heavy-Duty Grappler

The Heavy-duty Grappler is used for removing heavy objects such as ricks, concrete blocks, logs or other sunken solids. It can also be used for picking up pip and other heavy items from shore.

Tule & Cattail Cutter
Rotary Grass Mower

This implement is designed to make short work of mowing down grass or vegetation growing above water level.

Underwater Weed Trimmer

The Underwater Weed Trimmer is used for cutting underwater vegetation. Excellent for cutting root embodiements such as tule grass and other types of underwater growth.

Weedless Bucketwheel Cutterhead

Ideal for root embeded matierial, this cutterhead's teeth are mounted with a 17° rear incline angle. These teeth do not hook on fiberous materials and thus eliminates any wrapping effect as may occur with the Standard Bucketwheel. The side cutters are also round in shape, allowing material to slide off the cutters. As this wheel turns, the teeth must pass through a "shear comb" which shears off any material that may be clinging to any teeth.

The Augerhead

The High Speed Auger Cutter is able to chip cut dense clay into smaller particles that will readily flow, enabling it to enter the 6' wide Auger, which in turn moves the degraded clay into the suction port and is then ultimately discharged.

The 8DX Booster Pump

The 8DX Booster Pump will increase Nessie's pumping distance from 6 70 7 thousand feet! This Booster is powered by a Caterpillar 250HP Turbo Charged engine and is rquipped with Keene's solid handling pump. Call or write for specification details.

Nessie 8DX Leads The Way In Both Land And Water Mobility!

Nessie is now available with an amphibious conversion never before available with a conventional dredge!
The 8DX Amphibious is supported by 12 terra float tires, 6 of which have positive traction. 'New Bold On Amphibious Drive Train" makes it possible to traverse areas over land areas like bogs as well as shallow areas that are not normally accessible to conventional dredges. The new drive train can also be converted into a large transportation trailer that is capable of being towed by a small vehicle.
The transport trailer conversion can carry large amounts of dredge tubing and other necessary equipment required to facilitate a dredging operation. When fully assembled, its 13-foot, fully extended width can easily be shrunk to a legal trailer width by activation of the built in hydraulic cylinder.
Nessie's excavating multipurpose arm makes it possible to utilize a wide variety of optional attachments for most operations involved in marine maintenance, mining, construction, weed harvesting, debris removal, heavy clay dredging as well as deep dredging.
